Itinerary

Day 1: Beijing –Zhengzhou -- Guoliangcun - Mountain ( L, D )

Your driver will pick you up at your Beijing hotel and take you to Beijing West Railway Station. The morning train to Zhengzhou takes approximately 2.5 hours. Meet your local guide on arrival, then drive directly to Guoliang Village, a journey of about three hours.

Take a shuttle bus or walk with your guide through Guoliang Tunnel, the approximately 1,300-meter road carved by villagers through the mountain using hand tools. After lunch at a local farmhouse restaurant, explore the village, known for its cliff-side setting, distinctive landscape, and traditional life. More than forty films and television productions have used the village as a location. Continue to Yuntai Mountain, approximately two hours away. Dinner and accommodation are included.

Day 2: Yuntai Mountain - Beijing or Xian (B, L)

After breakfast, explore the UNESCO Global Geopark at Yuntai Mountain. The area offers towering peaks, deep gorges, forests, waterfalls, springs, streams, and lakes. Its cultural history includes the association of Baijia Cliff with the Seven Sages of the Wei and Jin periods, who lived in the area for more than twenty years.

Yuntai Mountain’s glass walkway offers sweeping views of the mountains and a clear view beneath your feet. The scenic area includes eleven main attractions: Red Stone Valley, Tanpu Valley, Quanpu Valley, Zhuyu Peak, Diecai Cave, Macaque Valley, Zifang Lake, Wanshan Temple, Baijia Cliff, Qinglong Valley, and Fenglin Gorge. With limited time, your guide will help you choose one or two areas to explore.

After the tour, take an evening high-speed train back to Beijing, a journey of approximately three hours. Your driver will meet you at Beijing West Railway Station and take you to your hotel. Alternatively, take a high-speed train to Xi’an, approximately two hours away, to continue your journey to the Terracotta Warriors.

Things you can do

TAILOR-MADE TRAVEL

What to refine before booking

Protect the travel days

Review the full hotel-to-hotel transfer for every intercity leg. Avoid relying on a flight or train arriving early enough for a tightly timed major attraction unless the final schedule supports it.

Choose a comfortable pace

Confirm stairs, slopes and time on foot. Ask which optional visits can be shortened or removed, and where an additional night would make the biggest difference.

Make inclusions explicit

Request the actual hotel and room choices, guide language, vehicle arrangements, admission coverage, meals and any activity-specific support in the written quotation.

Compare another approach

For a more spacious route, explore the original journey briefs in our national and regional collections. These show overnight allocations, transfer days and the tradeoffs behind each route.
