Walking level & suitability
The original route link is no longer available; we will build a current lakeside itinerary and confirm camp access in writing.
Detailed itinerary
Travel to Huanghuacheng: Depart Beijing and reach the Wall above the reservoir. Ridge walk: Choose a lake-facing stretch matched to your group’s pace. Camp setup: Walk or transfer to the currently approved overnight area; check tents and sleeping gear. Dinner and sunset: Eat and enjoy the late light from a safe viewpoint.
Morning view: Rise before or around sunrise as weather allows. Breakfast: Eat and pack the campsite. Short final walk: Take a brief morning lakeside walk if access and time permit. Beijing return: Travel back to the agreed drop-off.
Plan the practical details
Confirm the permitted overnight location, tents, sleeping bags, pads, meals, toilet arrangements and weather alternative in your written proposal. The actual sleeping location may be a designated area near the Wall; do not infer permission to camp anywhere from a route photograph.
Arrange storage for your main luggage with the route team. Carry a small daypack with water, suitable layers and personal essentials. Confirm whether bags travel by vehicle between overnight stops.
