The route at a glance
For hikers drawn to Jiankou’s dramatic, broken mountain Wall, this overnight gives the area time beyond a rushed day visit.
Operated by Great Wall Adventure Club. This route is presented as part of China Travel Collection’s specialist Great Wall selection.

Walking level & suitability
Steep and loose sections make this a poor choice for guests seeking an easy stroll. The guide may alter the route for weather and access.

Plan the practical details
Confirm the permitted overnight location, tents, sleeping bags, pads, meals, toilet arrangements and weather alternative in your written proposal. The actual sleeping location may be a designated area near the Wall; do not infer permission to camp anywhere from a route photograph.
Arrange storage for your main luggage with the route team. Carry a small daypack with water, suitable layers and personal essentials. Confirm whether bags travel by vehicle between overnight stops.
Before confirming your departure

- Confirm dates, current route access and a weather alternative.
